My name is Darrin Doss, and I live in southern Virginia, about 30 minutes drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Photography has become a passion of mine in the past few years because it gives me the ability to capture some of nature's beauty, enabling me to share it with others.

    Take a look through the images in my galleries. There you will find wildflowers, mountain streams, and insects that are often over-looked by most. My goal is to make people more aware of the things around them and to be inspired to protect what we have left.
 

Upcoming Events:
August 23, 2008 -- The Corp. of Engineers at Philpott Lake in Bassett, Virginia will be doing a special Saturday recreational release from 8AM till 12 Noon.  This will give paddlers that would normally miss the routine weekday generation cycles the opportunity to paddle the Smith River on the weekend.  Details can be found HERE and HERE.
